Oh, how the tables have turned for Peter Andre. The singer, who found mega-fame in the mid 90s with his hit Mysterious Girl, was recently treated to a walk down memory lane by his two adult kids.
Peter, who shares children Junior and Princess with his ex-wife Katie Price, took to social media earlier this week to share an adorable, if a little cringeworthy, video of his two ‘big’ kids serenading him with their own rendition of his once viral hit song.
The incident – as Peter confirmed – came after ‘a couple of tequilas.’
In an Instagram reel, the 53-year-old is videoing his teenager, who is seen crooning to the iconic track as she struck a few dance moves too for good measure.
Clearly being the kind of dad who is up for a laugh, Peter can be heard stating:
‘This is what we have to deal with when they’ve had a few tequilas these lot.’
The I’m A Celebrity star, who also shares kids Amelia, Theo, and Arabella with his now-wife Emily MacDonagh, then pans the camera onto him as his son Junior, 20, repeatedly tells him he loves him and kisses him on the cheek.
The young adult can be heard telling him: ‘I love you dad,’ as a amused Peter laughs:
‘Son, what are you doing?’
The singer then asks his daughter too: ‘What are you doing?, as Princess responds: ‘I don’t know.’
The brother and sister duo then take tjhings up a notch with the singing of the song as their dad laughs to himself in the background.
‘If this is what tequila does to you guys, I don’t know what’s going on,’ Peter can be heard saying, before adding:
‘Thanks guys, I’m out now.’
Captioning the adorable clip, Peter simply wrote:
‘I cannot cope guys. Honestly. Help!’
‘You are an amazing dad’
The first person comment on the clip was Princess herself, who simply wrote:
‘Ffs. One too many tequilas.’
However, it did not take long before others who follow Peter Andre on social media to start chiming in too.
‘This is hilarious! Tequila is the devil’s work,’ one person wrote.
Another follower added:
‘Love this – you’re an amazing dad!’
Someone else also praised Peter’s parenting skills.
‘I have to say you are a true meaning of a magnificent parent. Your kids are a credit to you.’
Another follower echoed this, and wrote:
‘Beautiful relationship between you and your children, so lovely to see them growing up and showing there dad up lol.’
And lastly, someone chimed in with:
‘Darlings keeping the 90’s alive for dad while he turns red in every different shade.’
Peter and Katie Price welcomed Junior and Princess when they were married back from 2005 until they split in 2009. In the years since, the former couple have famously been at each other’s throat, and have often used social media to tear each other down.
However, earlier this year, Peter and Katie shared a surprise joint statement, where they revealed that they’d agreed ‘both legally and personally’ to never again ‘speak negatively about the other’ in the press.
The statement read: ‘Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect.
‘We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.’
They went on to say:
‘We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward.’
‘This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability. We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is the start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.’
