Who doesn’t love a trip to London? It is as fab in spring and summer as it is at Christmas time, and did you know it is actually the perfect spot for a family holiday as well?
London has so much to offer when you are travelling with kids, from amazing parks and playgrounds, to world-class toy stores (hello, Hamleys!) and not to mention all the museums, which your little ones are going to love to explore.
‘The highlight of our day in London’
Louise Cooney visited the city over the weekend, and judging by her Instagram-snaps, it’s safe to say the influencer and her little family all had a ball!

Taking to social media, the mum-of-one shared a carousel of images from their London-weekend, and it looks like little Jude had tons on fun exploring the UK capitol.

According to Louise, the absolute ‘highlight’ of their London-weekend was a trip to the Mundo Pixar Experience, which is the world’s largest immersive Pixar exhibition, and is currently on at Wembley in London.
Here you and your little ones can Step into life-size sets from all your favourite Disney·Pixar films. Become a toy in Andy’s room with Woody and Buzz, speed into Radiator Springs with Lightning McQueen, and venture through the Monsters, Inc. factory alongside Mike and Sulley.
And it looks like Louise’s little boy Jude sure had tons of fun checking out the sets:

The little boy can be seen climbing on some oversized furniture that is part of the Toy Story set, as well as checking out everyone’s favourite racing car, Lightning McQueen, of course.

The Irish influencer also shared a picture of herself and Jude checking out some dinosaur bones, so it might be safe to guess that the family also visited London’s Natural History Museum, which is always a great place to take kids when you are visiting the city.

The family also made time to stop by Buckingham Palace, where little Jude can be seen sitting on a wall looking towards the palace – maybe trying to spot a guard or even the King!

All in all, it looks like the family had a fab trip this weekend!
Things to see and do in London with kids
If you are planning on visiting the city with your own little ones this summer, know that you probably won’t get to cross all the places off your list – London is huge, and there are just so many things to see and do.

But for a first visit, that will no doubt inspire you to want to come back and see more of this great city, here are some other great places to take them:
1. London Eye
The London Eye is one of the absolute musts in London, with or without kids. The views are amazing, especially around sunset when the light is really beautiful. Kids will definitely love riding Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel!
2. The Royal Mews
This is a rather short visit, so perfect with kids. Also, it’s very affordable by London standards. Here you can see stables and horses, and kids will no doubt be impressed by the Royal carriages. Especially the eight-horse-drawn Gold State Coach that has been used at every coronation of British monarchs since the late 18th century.
3. Hop-0n-hop-off bus
Hop-on hop-off busses are probably the best way to see a big city with kids. First, it saves you and the kids a lot of walking. On top of that, you learn a lot about the landmarks and the less known places along the way. You can hop off at the places you like to explore more, and then hop back on again.
4. Hamleys and Harrods
London has so many stores that are an attraction in itself, and this is especially true for toy stores. There are many to pick from, but the toy department in Harrods, and, of course, Hamleys are real experiences, and every child will love a visit to these two.
5. Jubilee Gardens playground
This is a great playground that sits at the foot of the London Eye, so great if you want to kill two birds with one stone!
