Double-laced trainers are a big trend at the moment, but unless you want to spend over €100 on a pair of shoes, then you may feel like it’s a trend you can’t take part in.
Since when did it become the norm to spend over €100 on a pair of runners? We don’t know, but it’s a trend we are not falling for. So does that mean that we can’t wear some of the stylish trends that come around simply because the price makes them unattainable?
That hardly seems fair. We have so much to buy for our children and our households that we can’t spend hundreds on our own clothing, but we still want (and deserve) to look stylish and chic.

From Adidas to New Balance, everyone seems to be jumping on the double lace trend but with them coming in at upwards of €100, and €140 in the case of the New Balances, it’s one we haven’t jumped on yet.
Thankfully, Dunnes is here to help, dropping their own version of the trend for a fraction of the price. Their Double Lace Gum Sole Casual Trainers are just €25 and a gorgeous neutral brown shade, which is a popular itteration of the trend.
They’re over €100 cheaper than a lot of the more expensive versions so we will be snapping them up ASAP.

According to the website, they are ‘made for everyday wear’, coming in ‘soft brown faux suede with warm burgundy woven panels and a classic gum sole.’ But you better hurry if you want to snap up a pair, because some sizes are already sold out online.
