Penneys to the rescue – as always!
June is here, and summer holidays are around the corner. This means, of course, that we have already started thinking about what to bring for our holidays wardrobes – AKA the most fun week or two of dressing in the entire year.
Every holiday suitcase needs the perfect ‘throw over a bikini and you are good to go’ outfit, I think, and so for ages, I have had my eye on this beautiful summer dress by Juliet Dunn.

But at €355, the cotton and linen embroidered dress does not exactly come cheap.
Which is not exactly within my vacation budget, I have to admit, which is such a shame, as I really did think this dress would have been perfect for both a trip to visit my in-laws in the south of France, and a week’s city break in Scandinavia, as the weather there tends to be glorious in summer.

However, money-wise, the Juliet Dunn was a no-go, and so I had to start looking for a more budget-friendly alternative.
And low and behold, look what I found:
Penneys co-ord with similar vibes
Yes, this is technically not a dress, but I do think this sweet cotton embroidered co-ord has the exact same vibes as the dress above, and being Penneys, it is of course far more affordable too.

The shorts retail at just €16 and I love hos chic and high waisted it is. Perfect with sandals, and you would get so much wear out of it, as you could totally pair with with other tops or a linen shirt too.

The waistcoat is equally gorge, and at just €18, you’ll have more pocket money left over for the holidays too!

That means that the whole ensemble comes in at just €34, over €300 cheaper than the designer dress – it’s a no-brainer.
I love how this set is made from 100 percent cotton and not polyester – a real gem, in my opinion!
