Scarlett Moffatt and her partner Scott are expecting a baby and like many mums, the TV presenter is thinking about how her first child will take to the news.

In April, they shared their happy news and later revealed the gender… it’s a boy!

And while the family can’t wait to meet their new son, Scarlett is making sure that Jude is involved.

Scarlett Moffatt is experiencing a very common worry

Chatting to The Mirror, Scarlett is very conscious about making sure her son doesn’t feel left out when his little brother arrives.

She told them ‘One thing I just love about Jude is how loving he is. But I do have a feeling that at some point he’s going to ask, ‘When is the baby going back?’

Never having dealt with a situation like this before Scarlett asked:

‘How do you explain to a little toddler that this new baby is going to be sticking around? I just have to make sure he doesn’t feel left out. I’m watching a lot of TikToks on how to stop him from feeling like that.’

And while the internet can only provide so much, Scarlett has family that will rally around her if she needs help when the baby arrives.

Speaking about her parents relationship with her little boy, she said:

‘Oh my God, it’s so lovely for them. Mam and Dad had two girls, so for them having boys is great. Dad’s already so excited to take them to the football’.

Judging from Jude’s reaction to the news that he will soon have a sibling, he’s set to be a fantastic big brother.

In Scarlett’s pregnancy announcement, the little boy can be seen sitting on a chair, reading the daily paper (as toddlers do in the morning!)

However, if you don’t pay attention to the newspaper, you may just miss the message that the family are trying to tell.

The headline reads….’ Baby Dobinson, another miracle coming soon.’

The family then jumped into the video together, announcing their news, with Jude holding a picture of the scan!

In the post Scarlett wrote: ‘We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock. Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible’.

Scarlett previously opened up about the pain of experiencing a late term miscarriage, speaking about the soul-destroying pain she and Scott went through.
