Warning: This article discusses baby loss and may be distressing for some readers.
Dominique Nugent and her husband Paddy have announced the arrival of their rainbow baby.
The elated new mum shared the news on Instagram, with a sweet post revealing that she had given birth to a baby boy.
Alongside a photo of the newborn, Dominiqe also shared her little one’s gorgeous name.
She wrote:
‘Welcome home, Wylder.
‘After nine long months, nine days in hospital, a very long induction, a labour that ended in a C-section, and more recovery than I ever imagined… we’re finally home.
‘Last night, we spent our very first night together as a family of three.
‘One of the most special parts of your story so far is that you arrived on the day your big sister, Wynter, was due two years ago. I can’t help but feel that was her way of reminding us she’ll always be watching over you.
‘We already love you more than words could ever say, our precious little boy. Our little miracle.
‘Here’s to our next chapter… finally together’.
Dominique Nugent shares special news
Dominique and Paddy revealed that they were expecting a little one back in December, after sharing their pregnancy losses and IVF journey.
‘IVF has given us our little Christmas wish and, all going well, our rainbow baby will be coming this summer. These clips hold so many emotions for me,’ the mum said at the time.
‘Excitement, hope, the month-after-month disappointment, and the kind of love that keeps you trying again when you don’t know how you’ll get back up after a loss. I’m still nervous, because I’ve been at this stage before. But today I’m letting myself breathe and share this tiny piece of hope with you all.’
The influencer went on to share her thoughts with those who are still waiting for their miracle, writing: ‘I’m holding space for you. I know how heavy this time can feel when your heart is still waiting”.
‘Here’s to hope, to science and to finally saying the words I’ve waited so long to say. #3rd time lucky.’
In a previous episode of everymum the podcast, Dominique spoke about losing her baby girl Wynter a day short of 16 weeks and her words helped so many women experiencing baby loss.
Dominique brought her followers on her and Paddy’s IVF journey from the start and it’s amazing to see their little miracle arrive.
Huge congratulations on such very special news!
