Teething gels can be a good option but are slippery and rubbing them into your little one’s gums with your finger doesn’t always work, at least in my experience. This is where Niamh’s super helpful tip comes in.

The mum revealed that she has been using a baby finger toothbrush to apply Seán Óg’s teething gel and it works like a dream.

‘Anyone with a teething baby, these are handy for getting the gels on their gums,’ the influencer told followers before adding: ‘And protects your finger a bit from sharp teeth!’

It’s unclear exactly which brand Niamh is using, but they are available from most stores that stock baby items.

The Frida Baby fingerbrush is just €8.99 in Boots and you can pick up the Nuk version (which also comes with toothpaste) for the same price from McCabes Pharmacy. Other retailers have them for lower prices too.
