Corrie actor Jack P Shepherd and his wife Hanni Treweek have announced the news that they have welcomed their first child together.
The couple tied the knot just under a year ago, in July 2025, and now their family has expanded by one. Jack and Hanni shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a snap of their newborn grasping Hanni’s hand while Jack tenderly holds his hand on his wife’s.
In the caption, they revealed that they welcomed a baby girl on June 26th at home, and shared her unusual name.
‘Constance Ita Shepherd,’ Hanni wrote. ‘Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love. 26.6.26’.
Constance is an unusual and old-fashioned name with Latin roots. It means ‘steadfastness,’ ‘constancy,’ or ‘faithful’.
Friends shared their congratulations in the comments, with Jack’s on-screen family Sally Dynevor and Tina O’Brien writing: ‘Oh wonderful so happy for you, what a beautiful name. Lots of love to you all ‘ and ‘Congratulations to you both’.
Another of Jack’s co-stars, Samia Longchambon, added: ‘Amazing! Huge congratulations, guys,’ while Emmerdale’s Danny Miller said: ‘Congratulations you three! All the love in the world’.
Jack and Hanni announced they were expecting on Valentine’s Day with a loved-up photoshoot showing off Hanni’s growing bump. While this is the couple’s first child together, it is Jack’s fourth.
He is already dad to daughter Nyla Rae and son Reuben, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, and a son Greyson, whose mother is Jack’s ex, Sammy Milewski.
