The TV and radio presenter is dad to Ella and Julia, the daughters he shared from his first marriage to Anne-Marie Power whom he split from in 2006.

Now the girls are adults, they get on great with their dad… so much so that they even go on nights out together.

Ryan Tubridy talks about his two daughters

The former Late Late Show host explained that he invites his daughters, who are now 27 and 21 years old, over to his house with ‘a bag of cans’.

Chatting on Diana Bunici Garrigan’s podcast, The Delusional Optimist said:

‘Can I tell you the joy of having kids that are that age? They come over to the house and with a bag of cans, and we have nights out.

I say just bring your pals and your pals, and we have just a great time. And I hope they’re not just indulging me, but they’re the nicest.’

The host pointed out that Ryan’s face lit up when talking about his kids, with him explaining: ‘That’s because they are my be-all and end-all.

‘My girls are now women. They are really amazing, strong, smart women,’ he gushed.

However, Ryan joked that the girls weren’t as keen to hang out with their famous dad in their youth.

They didn’t want any part in show business, as the proud dad laughed: ‘They were like, “Park as far away from the school gate as you possibly can.”‘

‘They weren’t showbiz kids, and they weren’t into it, and they weren’t into it, and they didn’t want it, and they didn’t expect anything,’ he recalled. The odd time I’d have to drag them in and say, “Come on, don’t you want to say hello to Ed Sheeran?”‘

He added that his daughters set the tone for his December 2025 wedding, when he married his longtime love, Dr Clare Kambamettu.

Ryan explained that Ella and Julia walked down the aisle to The Beatles’ Honey Pie, and set emotions soaring on the day.
