James and Erin McClean were extremely proud parents after their daughter ‘smashed’ making her communion, despite her anxiety about it.
The couple shared sweet snaps of their little girl looking angelic in her white gown, which was hemmed with pretty pink and white flowers along the waistline. Willow-Ivy posed with her hands joined together in the pictures.
James and Erin have been very vocal about Willow-Ivy’s autism diagnosis in the past, and her football star father revealed that the day wasn’t easy for her.

The Derry man explained that she had been feeling very anxious about making her Communion in the lead-up. ‘Special day for our special girl,’ the proud father wrote. ‘Her anxiety was through the roof leading up to it, but she smashed like a boss as per.’
Of course, the McCleans had to celebrate Willow-Ivy’s big feat, and so marked the special day by throwing a party in their house. They even rented a bouncy castle for their four kids and all of their cousins to play on.
Willow-Ivy posed with her mum and dad, as well as her older siblings, Allie May and Junior, and her little sister Mia, who all got dressed up for the occasion.
Erin looked particularly glamorous, wearing a pastel-coloured maxi dress. The mum-of-four held up a peace sign as she posed in the stylish dress, which was designed by Nadine Merabi.
The Saffron Floral Dress comes in at €525. The gown is made of a nude-lined mesh fabrication and adorned with embroidered sequin floral finishes throughout. It features a V-neckline and five frill tiers. You can check the dress out here.
