Henry Shefflin’s daughter Sadhbh is following in her famous dad’s footsteps.
Sadhbh was pictured with her dad and mum Deirdre after achieving an impressive sporting feat over the weekend.
Playing with the Kilkenny Minor Camogie team on Sunday, Sadhbh was a member of the team who beat Galway at UPMC Nowlan Park to take home the title.
Proud dad Henry shared snaps on social media, praising the team, and posing with his daughter and wife.
‘Congratulations, Sadhbh and the Kilkenny Minor Camogie team on your All-Ireland win today,’ he wrote.
People rushed to congratulate Sadhbh, with one person saying: ‘Congratulations, Sadhbh, and your teammates on the win. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree.’
‘Congratulations, Sadhbh, brilliant achievement,’ another person added. Sadhbh is one of Henry and Deirdre’s five kids.
The couple, who have been married for almost two decades, are also parents to their sons, Henry Michael, Freddie, Tom, and another daughter, named Siún.
Henry, who retired from hurling in 2015, and Deirdre first met in a nightclub after the All-Ireland Final in 1999 when Kilkenny lost to Cork.
Sadhbh had every chance at excelling in the sport, as her mum also playedcamogie player. Deirdre was a camogie player when she met Henry, and was also Miss Kilkenny at the time.
