The ‘wear everywhere’ dress your summer wardrobe has been waiting for has just dropped in Dunnes Stores.
If you are heading off on summer holidays soon, and are looking for some travel-friendly outfits to pack in your suitcase, you need to get yourself down to your local Dunnes Stores immediately. Because our favourite Irish high street store has just dropped a gorgeous dress in this summer’s hottest pattern – and it is a steal at just €30.
Dunnes drops summer dress of dreams
The Gingham Midi Dress is so flattering on every figure as it features a wrap-front tie, and a detachable belt that allows you to cinch the waist for a defined silhouette.
The dress is also perfect for warm-weather dressing, as it is crafted from a lightweight fabric that does not crease either, meaning you can fling it in your suitcase, and take it straight out to wear once you get to your destination.
In other words, a real holiday hero of a dress, I think we can all agree. And at just €30, it won’t eat into our holiday budget too badly either.
The gingham pattern really is everywhere this summer, from high end designers to the high street, and for good reason – the classic pattern really is perfect for this warm season, and always looks stylish.
We also love how the Dunnes dress is pretty much a dupe for this much pricier designer dress, also midi-length and in the same trending gingham pattern.
The Valenne midi dress from LA-based designer Dôen is made from organic cotton, but unlike the Dunnes version has a buttoned front rather than a wrap tie. The two dresses are not the same colour either, but I think it is safe to say they are very alike in style and pattern.
Founded in 2016 in California, Dôen is inspired by the past and designed for the present, expressed through romantic silhouettes.
However, their designs don’t come cheap, with this dress retaining for a whopping €400. We don’t know about you, but our holiday budget don’t quite stretch that far, so we are grateful we can opt for the Dunnes version instead this summer.
