It’s the most magical place on earth, but it turns out that a trip to Disneyland Paris can easily be spoiled if you unknowingly pack certain things.
Of course, it goes without saying that there are certain things we all know not to bring on a trip to Disneyland, but parents might easily find themselves caught out by some of the items on the banned list.
Attempting to bring these items could result in confiscation or a time-consuming trip back to the hotel.

That said, Disney expert and digital creator ‘Laura with the mouse’ has singled out some items that parents might not know not to bring on a trip to the theme park.
The first item on the list is selfie sticks, but she says the rule also applies to any kind of extended camera.
‘It’s anything like selfie sticks, Tripods, any kind of extendable camera equipment is not allowed in the parks. I think this is largely to make sure the fireworks are enjoyable for everybody, and people aren’t just looking at a bunch of selfie sticks.

She adds that she thinks it’s a good rule and cautions If you have it with you will either have to take it back to your hotel or they will confiscate it at the gate.
The second thing she points to is ‘any kind of picnic hamper or cool box ‘
‘You can take your own food into the park, but especially with the heatwave at the moment you may be thinking of taking them in a coolbox or hampers to try and keep them cool.
‘These are not allowed. Disneyland Paris does not allow what they call ‘picnicking ‘, so I think if you plan on taking hampers and cool boxes in, it looks like you’re planning on having a picnic in the park, which isn’t allowed, so you can’t take these things in with you.’
Officially, Disneyland Paris has banned any type of large container which exceeds 55cm x 40cm x 25cm. Laura has also confirmed that the third item banned from the themepark is collapsible chairs and stools.
‘There is a caveat to this for people with priority cards or disability needs; then you can still take these in with you, but they do kind of still have rules on what you can and cannot take because generally you can’t take these in with you.’

Another easy trap for parents to fall into is the size of the buggy or pushchair, with larger items banned.
Pushchairs and small trolleys/wagons are allowed, but they must be smaller than 92cm x 132cm and left outside the attractions.
