Jo Frost, best known for her role on the hit Channel 4 series Supernanny, has shared strong views on a new parenting trend she says is becoming increasingly common.
The childcare expert rose to fame in the early 2000s by helping families manage challenging behavior in children at home, quickly becoming one of television’s most recognisable parenting figures.
Now the TV personality regularly shares advice and opinions with her followers online, and in a recent social media post, she did not hold back as she discussed a trend she believes parents should think more carefully about.

Taking to Instagram, the 55-year-old said, ‘What the hell is going on? Teen takeovers, they’ve got children running through shopping centres and terrorising people, smashing up shops, attacking strangers, and filming it for social media like it’s entertainment.’
But – the woman who once presented Supernanny where she got tough with unruly and disobedient kids, now says she lays the blame for the current crisis with wild teenagers at the feet of the parents.
‘It’s clear parenting is in a crisis, but why do you think we got teens running wild, out of control, kids with no manners, no values, disrespect off the charts, physical outbursts in schools, teens being reckless on the streets and with everyone?’
Supernanny has a warning for parents of teens
Jo urged parents to take back control of their teenagers, saying, ‘Parents, please get a grip on your children. Seriously? What happened to parenting?’
She also questioned whether standards around parenting and behaviour had slipped, saying it is important for children to learn respect for both themselves and others, as well as understanding that actions can have real consequences.
