Roseanna Ruane reflects on life since her return to social media

by Louise Porter / 2 weeks ago

Roseanna Ruane has opened up about her life lately, since she returned to social media after a break.

The mum stepped back from social media back in January, telling followers that she would be offline until the time felt ‘right’.

She returned to social media in March, giving her fans an update about what her family had been up to and saying that they had been ‘living slowly’.

Now, months later, Roseanna has been posting on social media, and has told followers that she needed the break more than she knew.

The content creator shared a clip of her family spending time outside with animals together, snippets of her time on social media and a lovely clip of her daughter Saoírse, who sadly passed away in 2024.

‘A little hello, whether you’ve been here for years or you’ve only just found this little corner of the internet. I stepped away for a little while recently,’ Roseanna said. ‘Life felt quieter, and I think I needed that more than I realised. Coming back, I’ve been thinking about what I want this page to be. Not perfect. Not polished. Just a place to share the life we’re building together.’

Sharing a clue about what’s to come, Roseanna told her followers: ‘You’ll find mornings on our little farm, days behind the microphone, family life, a love of fashion and beauty, dogs that steal the spotlight more often than I’d like to admit, and all those everyday moments that remind me how much beauty there is in ordinary life.’

‘Thank you for being here. Whether you’ve followed our journey from the beginning or you’re only joining us now, I hope this page feels like a place you enjoy coming back to. Here’s to this next chapter,’ she finished.

Roseanna’s oldest daughter Saoírse captured the hearts of the nation and inspired the Toy Show Appeal when she appeared on the long-standing Irish show in 2020.

She tragically passed away in 2024 at just 12 years old after a long battle with cancer, and her family have been openly dealing with their grief on social media in the hope that it will help others who may be going through the same thing.

‘The last few months have felt heavier than ever. In such a fast-paced world, it’s time to step back from the noise for a while and allow life to move at a gentler pace,’ Roseanna said, announcing her social media break in January. ‘Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support always. We’ll be back when the time feels right.’
