Amanda Byram faced every parent’s worst nightmare after she had to rush her little boy to the hospital when he had trouble breathing.
Thankfully, the one-year-old is fine now, but the presenter outlined the terrifying experience as she thanked all the hospital staff who had helped them. Amanda shared a photo of herself and Jett, who was born in 2025, in the hospital.
Poor Jett is sitting in a cot, and Amanda said that she had called emergency services and ‘spent the night’ in A&E after ‘the brave little legend’ displayed a ‘viral-induced wheeze’.

‘He needed inhaler therapy (which he absolutely hated) and a dose of steroids, which definitely gave him a second wind at 2am,’ she said before thanking the hospital staff.
‘We’re finally home, he’s doing so much better and we’re beyond grateful to the incredible [NHS] staff who took such amazing care of him,’ Amanda emotionally finished.

Amanda welcomed her two children, Phoenix and Jett, at the ages of 48 and 51, and she previously revealed the mum shaming she received for becoming a parent later in life.
‘[Trolls] calculated my age and concluded my son was destined for misery. “There’s no way she gave birth to this child!” “It is selfish to have a child at 49″… “‘Fast-forward 20 years: a young man on the cusp of adulthood with two dead parents. I’m sorry, but that’s just a fact,”’ she told You Magazine at the time.
