Parents of children who are coming up to school age may be wondering how best to prepare them for the big transition.
It’s a big change for both children and parents, and if it’s your first child, you may be at a bit of a loss as to what to do to get them ready.

Warning parents that they may get offended by her opinion, Jennifer, a kindergarten teacher in the US shared the six things all parents should know.
She said:
‘1. Your child doesn’t need to read before kindergarten.
2. Being able to follow directions is more important than knowing the alphabet.
3. If your child can’t open their lunch… lunchtime becomes stressful.
4. Putting on their own coat matters more than tracing worksheets.
