Parents of school children have been urged to fill out a very important application as the deadline approaches.
There are almost two months left of the school year, but many of us are already thinking ahead to the 2026/27 academic year, as there is so much to plan.
Parents and guardians are now being warned that there is just one week left to apply for school transport.
The deadline for applying for a place for your child on the school bus is Friday, May 8.

School scheme parents need to apply for before deadline
Families who have previously applied for transport do not need to apply but students starting junior infants, first year or changing schools or address will need to do a new application.
But caregivers who have applied before will need to log on anyway, in order to submit medical card details where possible.
Students living in Beneficiary of Temporary Protection Weekly Payment (BoTP), International Protection Accommodation Services (IPAS) and Emergency Reception and Orientation Centres (EROC) and who are new to the scheme must also apply.
