Shane Lowry has a sea of supporters across the country behind him, but no one roots for the champion golfer more than his two little girls.
Iris and Ivy Lowry have been watching their dad’s every move as he takes on his opponents at The Masters 2026. The girls, who are aged nine and four, are even kitted out in white jumpsuits, with their dad’s name written across their backs.
Shane’s wife Wendy, has been keeping fans up to date on their family’s antics, as they take over Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.
The Laois lady praised her eldest child for her good sportsmanship on Wednesday, resharing a tweet that pointed out how supportive she is.
Iris is close pals with Rory McIlroy’s five-year-old daughter, Poppy, and England’s Tommy Fleetwood’s oldest son, Frankie, much like their famous dads.
The little girl has a reputation for cheering her pals on, with her proud mum sharing a tweet from a fan that read: ‘Shane Lowry’s daughter Iris is the ultimate hype woman. Cheering on Poppy McIlroy last year after her putt on the ninth and this year hugging Frankie Fleetwood after his second driver attempt.’
Wendy, who married Shane in April 2016, also shared a shot of Iris placing a supportive hand on Frankie’s back. ‘Iris (heart emoji) Frankie,’ she captioned the post.
The children are becoming famous faces in their own right. They have all eyes on them, as clips from the high-profile tournament show their sweet bond.
At last year’s Masters, a viral moment saw their doting dads looking chuffed as their daughters managed impressive shots on the course.
One cute moment shows Shane telling Iris to ‘straighten’ up her angle and tap the ball ‘harder.’
As the ball finds the hole, his absolute pride is evident in his voice, and he runs over to her for a cuddle. Shane later captioned the clips of the shot ‘Making dad proud’ and ‘What it’s all about.’
It seems Iris has the makings of a great sportswoman in the years to come!
